Category: Fundamentals An ocular manifestation of rheumatoid arthritis is sicca syndrome. Patients have a sensation of grittiness in the eyes, accumulation of dried mucus and decreased tear production. Scleritis and episcleritis are occasional sequelae of sicca syndrome.
