If atropine is not effective, either transcutaneous pacing or a continuous infusion of a sympathomimetic agent, such as dopamine (2 to 10 mcg/kg/min) or epinephrine (2 to 10 mcg/min) (i.e., dopamine or epinephrine), should be initiated.
